Information about our Classes and Studio Events

Classes are so popular, you need to register in advance  with pre-payment.  All classes are filled on a first come basis and we require 48 hours notice if you cannot attend ,  we will reschedule you to another class if you call after the 48h hours notice cut off you will forfeit your class fees, due to we have to pay our instructors.   If we need to cancel a class we will give you 48 hours notice and either reschedule or refund you the class fee. 

 A Basic Tool Kit  ( 12inch Trimmer, scissors, acid  free glue - adhesive, ) must be brought to every class, we cannot supply these tools. Sorry no children under the age of 10, Children 10—15 must be accompanied by a paying Adult.

 The Basic Tool Kit:   You need to bring:

    • 12" paper trimmer
    • scissors
    • acid-free glue
    • Adhesive and double-sided tape must to every class, we cannot supply these tools.   

Crops:
Take time out with friends to scrapbook uninterrupted on the last Friday night!  Our studio is equipped with the most up to date Accu-Cut machine including four alphabets and number and numerous die cut shapes.We cannot supply your Basic Tool Kit, please bring that with you.  Please call ahead to save your spot as these night fill up fast.  Sorry no children under the age of 15.  Come out and crop with us the last friday of every month. There will be a croppers only special, demo and coffee and treat. $10.00

Studio Time:
Our Spacious Studio is large enough to hold 20 people comfortably. Please phone before coming in to guarantee that the studio is free for your use.  Lots of free parking. Sorry no children under the age of 10 (and children over 10 years old must be with an adult)

With Joy : Do you want to get your scrapbooking done quickly?  If you are anything like me and your answer is YES, sign up today and together we will create 6 layouts in just one 3 hour class. Yep, that's right 6 layouts! All the supplies to complete the layouts will be provided, including embellishments.  Sketches of the page designs with measurements will be provided, so you can even recreate the layouts at home.

 

We will use stamps, distressing techniques, QuicKutz & Boss Kuts die cuts, Coluzzle templates, eyelets, brads, ribbon and other embellishments to complete our layouts.*  Techniques and tools will vary depending on the layout design .Every month a new set of layouts will be created, so sign up today and get some serious scrappin' Done in a Flash

Great Impressions Rubber Stamps Card Class:

The Great Impressions class has become a popular series.  You will make three cards in this class taught by Tina.  The techniques you will use every month include coloring with pencil crayons or markers, layering paper, adding ribbon and embellishments and finally assembling your cards.  Time permitting; you will make a fourth card.  The only thing you will need to do when you get home is add the glitter glue.

**Please bring your regular class tool kit and a set of pencil crayons to colour your images.

Cost is $20.00 plus a $ 5.00 material fee. Please bring your Basic Tool Kit with you, and set of pencil crayons. This is the Board for the Class In May.

 

 

 

Scrapbooking 101 With Rose:
Find out how to preserve your photos for the next generation.   It is easy and quick, only two hours and you will leave with a two-page layout.  Learn the basic techniques, tools, terms, products and how to use them. 

PLEASE BRING TO CLASS 6 to10 photos of the same event to the class. Supplies needed are an acid free double-sided tape and a 12” Paper Trimmer; these tools are available for purchase A Scrapbookers Dream, pleas call fro more information on this class.. 
Cost is Free, To reserve your space in the class we need a $ 10 deposit which will be given back to you on the day of your class. If you need to cancel we need 48hrs or you will forfeit your class deposit. 

 

 

 

Stamp of the Month Demo “The Art Of Rubber Stamping Lecture Series* A Free Store Sponsored event with Kelly Grace

There are dozens of ways you can use rubber stamps.  Once you master stamping with ink, you will want to learn how to use rubber stamps to create beautiful cards, layouts or art pieces.  Each month, Kelly will take one rubber stamp image and showcase it on various paper projects.  She will then demonstrate old and new techniques used to complete a myriad of paper art projects.

As a special bonus, the rubber stamp Kelly uses will be discounted by 35% the day of the lecture.

THE ALCOHOL SOLUTION:

Alcohol may not be the solution, however alcohol based inks are the perfect solution for colouring non-porous surfaces. Students will learn the Polished Stone technique and experiment using this type of ink on surfaces like white glossy card stock, dominoes, acetate, metal and a microscope slide.

 

Students are asked to bring the following items to class.

 

Any alcohol inks and blending solution by Ranger (optional)

Inking handle by Tim Holtz , Krylon leafing pens and a Black StazOn pad

 

 

Dove Blendablity With Kelley Grace:
Versatile and easy to use, the Dove blender pen is sure to impress! Join Kelley and discover a myriad of creative uses for the Dove pen. As it’s not your average blending tool you’ll be working with watercolour pencils, markers, ink pads and even Pearl Ex powders as you assemble your own “Dove Blender Book” full of samples and pre-printed instructions. You can then practice your favorite technique on  a card and marvel at your own beautiful blendabilities!

Embossing Boot Camp With Kelly Grace

Did you ever wonder how to get that beautiful shiny raised edge on a stamped image? Ever ponder why sometimes your embossed images are sort of flat and dull? Well don’t fret, instead sign up for “Embossing Boot-Camp” where you will learn the difference between ink pads, embossing powders, snappy stamping skills and how to emboss with great results!

 Kelley has taught trazillions of people how to emboss and will guarantee that with a little practice and the proper technique your stuff can glow like a pro! As well as embossing numerous images with a variety of powders you’ll also learn multi-colour embossing and how to colour an embossed image. You will leave class all warm and fuzzy with a finished cards you can be proud of!

Whether you’re a new or seasoned Stamper the only thing you need to bring to class is your desire to emboss beautifully.

JOY OF CONFIDENT COLOURING With Kelly Grace: As a child remember how enjoyable colouring was…wouldn’t it be great to colour happily and confidently again?  Join Kelley and learn how to colour with shadow and highlights, easily blend pencil crayons and chalks, and to explore the colour schemes illustrated on the colour wheel.  Best of all, learn how to colour confidently and never again utter the words “I don’t know which colours to use”  This is an excellent technique class for all those who want to brush up on their colouring skills & theory while making some lovely cards.

MARVELOUS MARKER FLOWERS With Kelley Grace: 

 

 

 

 

 Beautiful, colourful flowers are what you’ll create when you join Kelley to learn a wonderful watercolour technique combining flower stamps and Tombow markers! No prior watercolour experience required. Several cards will be completed in class and you’ll surely impress everyone with your marvelous marker flowers.

 

SUPPLIES: #3 round watercolour brush, Spritzer for water

Adhesives to assemble cards (Tombow glue stick, foam mounting tape, double sided tape)

 

            Kelley will supply the following Tombow markers for class projects but if you have your own and would like to bring them to class, that would be great!

New STORE Policies

 

Dear friends and new customers.

 

Like all new businesses we are working our way through many new systems and policies depending on customer needs and suggestions.

 

We have had several situations arise that have lead us to the posting of these new store polices.

  

CHILDREN IN OUR STORE

We love children and many of our store employees are parents themselves. Please do not expect our floor staff to baby-sit your children.If you have children in the store with you as you shop, bear in mind that as a store full of paper and stickers that your child will be tempted to both touch and tear our inventory.  You will have to pay for any items, which are damaged by their handling.  

Archival scrapbooking requires that we have as little contact with paper materials as possible and that includes fingerprints.  Please respect the next person shopping who will not wish to purchase an item possibly handled or torn by your little one.

 

CHILDREN CAN NOT BE IN THE STUDIO AREA

The studio space has been designed for the comfort of adults.  

That includes ensuring that anyone renting studio time can do so with as few distractions as possible.  

Parents may not leave their children in the store while they use the studio space.

No exceptions.  

 

Midnight Crop—Take time out with friends to have a sweet with your coffee and scrapbook with no interruptions.  Our studio has been equipped with the most up to date Accu-Cut machine with 4 alphabets and number and numerous die cut shapes, and over 300 hundred punches . We cannot supply your Basic Tool Kit, please bring that with you. No Children under the age of 15 years old. The last friday of the month, please call to save your spot.
